Supported Cameras

Nola supports any IP cameras which are capable of producing H.264 or H.265 RTSP streams.

This includes popular models of cameras and NVRs from:

  • Dahua / Alhua
  • Reolink
  • Hikvision 1

Most IP cameras and NVRs have the ability to expose their feeds as RTSP streams. If in doubt, check the documentation of your camera model, or get in touch with your vendor.

Providing RTSP details to Nola​

In most scenarios, we will need the RTSP feed URLs of your video cameras in order to set up the Nola service.

The RTSP URLs will look something like:

rtsp://username:[email protected]:554/h264Preview_01_main

and there should be one for each camera feed.

If your IP cameras are managed by a service provider, it may help to ask them to retrieve the RTSP URLs for you.

  1. Hikvision NVRs will require "Stream Encryption" to be disabled via the monitor connected directly to the NVR. This can be done via Configuration→Network→Advanced Settings→Platform Access.↩
